University Preparation Programme

University of The Free State UPP, Students from historically disadvantaged communities are given the opportunity to participate in higher education through the University Preparation Programme (a type of bridging year),

University Preparation Programme (UPP)
A one-year accessibility programme helps students from historically disadvantaged communities to gain access to higher education in especially three fields of study: Economic and Management Sciences, the Humanities, and Natural and Agricultural Sciences. After successful completion of the bridging year, students continue their studies at the Bloemfontein Campus of the UFS.

The UPP represents a bridging year and takes place in Bloemfontein (South Campus) and five sub-regions, i.e. Sasolburg, Bethlehem, Welkom, Kimberley and Oudtshoorn.
